It was a glorious afternoon at Portia M baby’s very first influencer event that took place on the 8^th of September 2023 in Midrand Gauteng.

The occasion warranted a very special afternoon, as Mrs Portia Mngomezulu and her beautiful daughter Mayine Mngomezulu who inspired the Portia M baby range hosted the event. The event was created to celebrate our wonderful baby influencers and their mothers for the continuous support, love and loyalty they have shown to the brand. We were also pleased to have guest speakers who were our baby influencers Thando, Maliyah and Alwande, we also had a special guest speaker Thapelo Mthembu who manages the baby influencers as well as the Portia M baby social media pages.

It was a harmonious afternoon of playful children interacting with the Jumping castles, slush puppy, ice cream and they even got pampered with a spa treatment.

Within the garden, the mothers’ tables were laid out sublimely in crisp white cloths with towering vases and the children’s tables were decorated with coloring in sheets and paint and of course sweets that probably gave them a sugar rush that will last them a lifetime.

The event kicked off with the mothers and Children arriving at the venue in complete awe as it looked so beautiful and very enjoyable for the children.

It was a synergistic afternoon of Mothers and Children mingling with each other. It was a very sunny and pleasant day filled with joy and excitement.

Food was served by Izipho Functions and we were fulfilled and filled up. Mothers got the opportunity to create their own burgers from scratch and the kids had burgers and hotdog rolls prepared for their enjoyment. However, I doubt the children were really interested in the food as they focused more on playing on the Jumping castles and eating as much ice cream as they can.

We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to the mothers and children for blessing us with their presence on this day and making the event memorable and one to definitely remember. We hope to host an even bigger Portia M baby Influencer Event next year.
