Portia M Men of Impact: Confident Skin. Confident Man.
On 27 June 2026, Portia M Skin Solutions hosted its inaugural Men of Impact event, bringing together approximately 150 men under one roof for a day of learning, connection and meaningful conversations. Guided by the theme “Confident Skin. Confident Man.”, the event marked an important step in Portia M’s commitment to empowering men to care for themselves, build confidence and make a positive impact in their communities.
As a brand that believes in the power of self-care, Portia M recognises that confidence extends beyond physical appearance. It also encompasses mental well-being, personal growth, financial empowerment and the courage to navigate life’s challenges. Men of Impact was created to bring these conversations into one space, encouraging men to learn from one another and engage with issues that matter in their everyday lives.
The gathering also provided an opportunity to reflect on men’s mental health and the importance of challenging the stigma that can prevent men from speaking openly about their struggles or seeking support. By creating space for honest and meaningful conversations, Men of Impact reinforced the message that looking after yourself is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Conversations That Inspire Growth
The programme was led by the charismatic Smash Afrika, whose engaging presence guided the day’s proceedings. The event featured an inspiring line-up of speakers who shared their knowledge, experiences and perspectives on entrepreneurship, resilience and personal development.
Clement Moasa joined the speaker line-up, contributing to the day’s discussions. Entrepreneur and media personality DJ Sbu shared insights on being a hustler, embracing entrepreneurship and pursuing opportunities with determination. Sheldon Tatchell offered valuable lessons on overcoming challenges, navigating difficult seasons and finding the strength to rise again after setbacks.
Together, these conversations highlighted the importance of resilience, ambition and continuous growth. They encouraged attendees to reflect on their personal journeys, learn from challenges and recognise the opportunities that come with perseverance and a willingness to keep moving forward.
Beyond the stage, the event created an opportunity for men to connect, exchange ideas and engage with perspectives beyond their own. The experience was complemented by the vibrant atmosphere created by the live performance, delicious food and the beautiful setting of Divine Sunset Venue, which provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable gathering. From the insightful conversations to the entertainment and hospitality, every element contributed to an enjoyable and impactful day. It was a reminder that meaningful progress can begin when people come together to listen, learn, celebrate and support one another.
